Mootsy Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how Mootsy (“we”) collects and uses information when you use our iOS and Android apps and related services at mootsy.web.app.

1. Information we collect

• Account data — email, username, display name, and auth provider identifiers.
• Profile data — bio, art preferences, location country (if you set it), and photos you upload.
• Content you create — messages, project posts, art-trade images, comments, and reports.
• Device / usage data — app version, crash logs, and push notification tokens as needed to run the service.

2. How we use information

We use this information to:

• Provide matching, chat, projects, and art trades
• Secure accounts and prevent abuse
• Moderate reports and protect the community
• Send transactional notifications (e.g. matches, project updates)

We do not sell your personal data. Mootsy does not use your Name or Email Address for cross-app advertising tracking. We do not request App Tracking Transparency permission for advertising IDFA tracking.

3. Sharing

We use trusted processors (for example Firebase / Google Cloud and image hosting) to operate the app. They process data on our instructions. We may disclose information if required by law or to protect users’ safety.

4. Your choices

• Update or delete profile content in the app where available
• Block or report other users
• Request account deletion via in-app settings or by contacting support

5. Data retention

We keep account and content data while your account is active and as needed for safety, legal, and operational purposes after deletion requests.

6. Children

Mootsy is not directed to children under 13 (or the minimum age required in your country). Do not use the app if you are under that age.
